Automatic Data Update
On Thursday May 31st 2007, ITS will reset all Spring 2007 Blackboard course sites to be unavailable to students. After this change is made students and guests will no longer see links for Spring 2007 sites when they log into Blackboard. Â Instructors, teaching assistants and course builders will still be able to access these sites as usual. Instructors or teaching assistants may continue to allow students to access these sites by making them available gain.

Automatic Data Update
If you use Course Statistics or Content Tracking as an instructor, please make sure to check or download the statistics
by 5 PM Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007. On this day all the statistics currently in the system will be deleted in order to perform necessary maintenance. This will not require the Blackboard system to be out of service.
To download Course Statistics follow these directions:
1. From in the Control Panel of your course, click Course Statistics (in the Assessment section).
2. Select the report type, time period and users for your search, and click Submit.
3. On the Course Statistics page click Export Data.
4. Save the file on your computer. The file is saved with the extension .csv, which can be opened with programs MS Excel.
To download Content Tracking follow the directions as described at:
Enabling and Viewing Content Tracking Reports. Note that in order to collect Content Tracking statistics for a piece of content in your site, this feature must have been enabled previously. Statistics for Content Tracking will only be recorded from the date the Content Tracking was enabled.
Reminder: As a good practice we recommend that you back up your statistics frequently in the event that they become unavailable unexpectedly.

Upgrade/Maintenance Period
Please note that the Teams LX tool has been upgraded and will now simply be called Wiki in all Blackboard sites. Look for the following new logo when looking for this tool in Blackboard:
Wiki Tool
This tool will function the same way as before, but with a different look. Now the links to edit, create or delete new pages and to show page history appear on the right hand side of the page. In addition there are a few new features, including:
- The ability to set commenting to Nobody, Instructor Only, or Everyone in Course.
- Enhanced text box editor, printing option, page stats, and export options accessible by anyone with editing rights.
Please note that if a link to the Teams LX tool existed in the course menu prior to the upgrade, the link must be re-created. The content that existed in the tool prior to the upgrade will be accessible after re-creating the link.
