Upgrade/Maintenance Period
From 5 am to approximately 7 pm on Saturday, March 17
th 2007,
https://blackboard.unc.edu will be unavailable to users. During this time, ITS will be upgrading Blackboard from Blackboard 6.3.1.505 to the latest release for Blackboard 6.3 (6.3.1.645). This upgrade will provide security fixes and improvements to subsystems. It will not offer additional features to the ones currently available.

Automatic Data Update
On Monday, March 5 2007, ITS will reset all Fall 2006 Blackboard course sites to be unavailable to students. Instructors, teaching assistants and course builders will still be able to access these sites; students and guests will no longer see links for Fall 2006 sites after this change is made. Instructors or teaching assistants may continue to allow students to access these sites by
making them available gain.
